Amateur Astronomy Day

National Amateur Astronomy Day 23 September 2023, open doors in Tampere!

The National Amateur Astronomy Day is an annual theme day for the star hobby.

Local star hobby associations and individual star enthusiasts from different parts of Finland present their activities and organize a program related to astronomy and the hobby.

Tampere Ursa will hold open doors at the observatory on Saturday 23 September 2023 from 18:00 to 21:30. 

From the beginning of the evening, we will introduce hobby equipment (e.g. telescopes, binoculars, etc.), guide you in purchasing them and answer the audience's questions. After dark, we will hold a star show if the weather permits. In cloudy weather, we organize a replacement program.

The event is free and open to everyone. Welcome to get to know the versatile star hobby!
